In Southeast Europe, we are witnessing young democracies. We learn through mistakes, and apart from corruption, which as a term is constantly and practically unfortunately happening, public relations in the public sector and public companies were only established a few years ago as an important factor of transparency. From state to state, politicians and those who govern in the public administration system perceive, evaluate and understand the role of public relations and transparent communication differently. That is why I founded the FOCUS conference to give importance to all employees in the communications sector in public administration and public companies in order to understand that everything is constantly changing and that we must constantly, in accordance with the changes, be educated.
The FOCUS conference is a challenge, not in organizational and programmatic terms, but a challenge of understanding through which we want to send clear messages to the general public about the existence and importance of this profession, but also to the political and influential public. From our birth to our departure, each individual is part of the public administration system and therefore it must be closer to the people, it must be simple, functional and efficient. This is not an example in all countries, but due to the development of technologies, European directives and positive ambitions, the functionality of public administration is changing for the benefit of citizens. I thank everyone who has participated so far and those who are yet to do so, everyone who has supported the conference in any way. Public relations, behind which a number of communication tools and techniques are hidden, will be and will remain one of the key factors in the development of public administration, and the transparency of public administration depends on communications.
